I was hoping York would put the match up on their pay video service, but no luck. Any word on whether the campus radio station will call it? I think they did an NCAA match... two years ago?... that went into pks.

Whoops, yeah I didn't update the banner to that or the fact that UT-Tyler will be broadcasting audio from the road for their game at Trinity.

Looks like there is a York basketball game on video scheduled for the same time slot. Could be why if there aren't enough resources.

Ummm, if they are honestly doing a b-ball game instead of an NCAA soccer game then that is complete BS.

Very last minute update: Good news out of the Stockton group, the radio guys must have stayed as they will be offering an audio broadcast of CNU's 2nd
round matchup against Stockton today.
32: I couldn't agree more, but different schools prioritize their sports differently. Or some might think its only fair to keep with what was already promised on the schedule. You could always go make a stink at the York athletics offices. Please? |

For those of you who like to/need to follow the matches out in internet land, I thought it might be interesting to see which host site would benefit you most
come selection time. We all know the NCAA does it based on $/travelling distance/team records, but if it were up to me and the quality of the media coverage,
it would look like this:
1. Emory (Did video for regular season games) 2. Christopher Newport (Did audio away at Stockton) 3. Messiah (Problematic audio) 4. Montclair/Rochester (Maybe you'll find out by letter carried by a man on a horse the next day) 1. Loras (Video with SID commentary) 2. Hobart (Local radio) 3. Ohio Northern (Did livestats 1 or 2 years ago) 4. Augsburg (First tournament, so who knows what they're capable of) 5. Redlands (Results by carrier pigeon) 1. Middlebury (Professional looking video with d3cast, instant replay (!), and commentary) 2. Carleton (Nice video with commentary) 2.5. Stevens (Did excellent quality video last year, commentary could be improved) 4. Johns Hopkins (Livestats) 1. Swarthmore (Reliable video/livestat combination) 2. Ohio Wesleyan (Nice video, no continuous score/time feed) 3. UT-Tyler (Audio/livestat combination) 4. Trinity/Amherst (Realtime score updates relayed via smoke signal. Pray it doesn't rain.)

Excellent news, DIII fans. All 8 matches of the Sweet 16 will be video broadcast over the internet, with 3 of the 4 anticipated to have commentary. I will list
the links once they become available.
In addition, for mb2falcons and the rest of you Sussy & Patrick fans out there, you are about to be really pleased. After passing along the suggestion of some folks on this board, I have already gotten word back from CNU that they have contacted the Messiah radio folks and plan to put the Messiah team commentary with the video feed for the Messiah/Montclair match, and will combine again if Messiah advances. This is the best news I've heard all week, especially after missing out on the calls of rounds 1 and 2 due to bandwidth problems. If everything pans out, maybe shoot some kind words at the Athletic Department/Communications team at CNU for their willingness to make it happen. Heck, tell the Messiah radio people and whoever covers your team's games that you love their work while you're at it.

Very, very good news. Just have to see about getting out of some obligations a bit early to be able to catch the games. As Iron Sharpens Iron |

i'm pumped that they are showing all of the regional games.
however, couldn't they stagger starting times? I mean, Sunday night i'm going to be attempting to stream 4 games at once! |

Stevens Broadcasts can be obtained at www.empire8.tv for our Sectional. The games are free, and only require an account with Penn Atlantic to add selected
videos to your cart.
Our commentary team is ready to go. |

Is there any reason why the video portion never came up for me on the empire8.tv webcasts? I was getting the audio fine, but no video. I restarted numerous
times with no difference. Is there some setting/configuration in my windows media player that I might have to change? Very interesting as it's the first
WMP webcast this tournament that I couldn't get a picture. It's probably something simple, but . . .

I don't know. BJF couldn't get anything either, but that included no audio. You might try using another player found on the internet that is compatible
with Windows video, like VLC. I had tv quality with vista and WMP version 11.0.6000.6344 on default settings.

NKF...is the Messiah/CNU game at 6? It's listed on Messiah and CNU's site as a 3 o'clock start.

Both the CNU Sectional webpage and the Messiah schedule list 3 p.m. There is no reason to think the participating and hosting schools are wrong.
BTW, it actually is a deviation from the standard games times according to the handbook (single games at 1 p.m. is by sunlight, 6 p.m. if by field lighting). As Iron Sharpens Iron |

I am familiar with and have used VLC, but usually for when a webpage with WMP embedded isn't streaming well, not instead of a stand-alone WMP stream. But I'll give it a try if I have problems again tonight. Yesterday with the other things going on I didn't get too worked up over it. My internet connection here in southern Brazil isn't up to having three games streaming at once anyways. As Iron Sharpens Iron |

Oops, it was definitely me who goofed up on the Messiah/CNU start time. I think it was because someone had mentioned streaming 4 games at once today... so I
had that in the back of my mind while just going along on autopilot, not consulting the team pages.
