Tournament is on Saturday April 18th
Also on the 18th, Navy will be scrimmaging Penn State at Warwick High (I know it's not D3 but I thought some of the Messiah people might be interested in attending).

I thought it be good to start a new topic of Spring games. I copied LastGuy's post about RUC below. Feel free to add games as you hear about them.
RUC will be going to Athens Showdown to play D1, D2, and D3 schools. This tournament has featured many of the top d3 schools from the east coast each of
the past few seasons (Messiah, York, Stevens).

Also, Messiah fans may be interested to note that Ben Jordan (Messiah '08) will be on the PSU sideline acting as a volunteer assistant. Way to go Ben!

Is that a joke, or is Ben Jordan really assisting?

That's awesome, good for him.
Just curious, are any of the other guys from that class or the last couple getting into coaching? Are any recent former players in contention for a spot on Shag's staff? |

While I'm sure your endorsement and my passion would get deep into the interview process, Tuna, I'm sure there are candidates with better credentials than:
Maybe if I don't get the job I'll release a press statement in a small newspaper saying that Messiah offered me the job but I decided to take
another position!

1) I did laugh.
2) Perfect season with ManU? I mean, they are the best team in the game... you'd have a better shot at assistant if you had managed to pull something like that off within MLS. |

Trinity has been on a on a tour to Rio de Janeiro this past week. In their first match they were trounced by a Fluminese junior squad 5-1, but the very next
day they were able to show the lessons they had learned by handling Botafogo 4-2. A third match v Flamengo was scheduled but I have no results. By all accounts
the boys were having a great time, learning some valuable cultural perspectives on the greater world and, hopefully, absorbing some useful soccer lessons while
building a cohesive team spirit for the upcoming season. I'm looking for some crazy stepovers, 30 yard volleys off the outside foot and much more samba in
our goal celebrations next season.

My Yorkies will be playing at Millville high school in a three team round robin college day. York will be playing Bloomsburg (division 2) and St. Francis (PA)
(division 1) with the two other schools also playing each other. The real spring match for the Yorkies tho will be April 26th. I expect to see an old school
goalkeeper jersey out that day...

Unfortunately the knee cap hair in the image is a true representation.
Back on topic, York played Bloomsburg and St. Francis today. The result against Bloomsburg was 3-0 in favor of York. The result against St. Francis was 3-2 in favor of York. Matt Haney was present. There were some personnel/formation shifts going on, but it sounds like it was a good day for York. |
