Mario Gomez who played at NJCU in 2001 has been playing in the Honduran 1st division since then. He also has played for the Honduran National Team.

Kai did play against Crystal Palace. Can't remember how long, but he did see some action.

Kai finally got a full half in with the Islanders the other day. Couldn't make it to the Crystal Palace London game, anyone know if he played that one?

The City Islanders appeared to have scored in the 2nd OT with a beautiful assist by Kai, but the referee did not think the shot had crossed the line and the goal was nullified. PennLive has the video of many of the PKs including Kai's at the following site:

Second round of the US OPEN CUP,

Harrisburg City Islanders (USL-2) 0:0 Western Mass Pioneers (USL-2) Harrisburg advance on PKs,4-3
Kai scored a PK. They will be playin NE Revolution in the third round.....
(Kai didn't play in the first round game)...

Also OC Barons will be playing DC United after upsetting two USL-2 teams... They beat Crystal Palace Baltimore 3-0 in the first round. Didn't watch the game, but looks like Dan Lader...

Salisbury players: Dan Lader is playing for Crystal Palace Baltimore and Matt Tirschman came out of retirement this season for the Baltimore Blast.

His lanky counterpart may have looked familiar as well, that was Andrew Wheeler's brother who I believe is playing at Towson next year.

I was able to attend the opening round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup match between the City Islanders and the Reading Rage. It was a bit disconcerting to see Jon Ports and Geoff Pezon playing for the same team. Although Pezon was not suited up Ports did play and looked as dangerous as ever. The City Islanders scored in the first minute but the Rage tied it up a few minutes later when Ports was able to net his own rebound. I caught the City Islanders game last night.

Kai Kasiguran saw about 20 minutes give or take, and nearly scored but was called offside.

Isaac Lee will play in Korea's K-League this summer. Of course, my understanding is that he played in Germany as an amateur for professional teams - and didn't play as a paid professional (confusion in the North Park article).

Kai has been amazing against the World Champs -- especially last night when he stole the ball, drove the distance, and got fouled on an incredible dunk. That was huge.

But there's something wrong with my TV. Kai looks much taller on my 46" high def screen. Gotta get that fixed.

I hear that Nick Mele and Tyler Masterson of Montclair may play in the Puerto Rico Soccer league.
If that's true I wish them well even though they were our enemy. I'm glad that they are out of the NJAC:)

I've heard that former Messiah player, and oft unsung hero, Dan Visser has been training with the Islanders of USL 2. Can this be confirmed? Anyone know his plans or chances of making the squad this year. I know that last year things were looking good right before he suffered a torn ACL.
