A big, big THANK YOU to bluejayfan for an awesome d3soccer.net experience again this year. Things are winding down and voices are quiet ("not a creature is stirring..." -- except, perhaps, for a flying weasel)) now with the last D-III games played over a week ago.

In the light of being politically incorrect, may I unapologetically say that I wish everyone on this board a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and a great 2010.

Listen-- I have no dog in this hunt-- I came to the games to see DIII soccer- and to show my highschool son that DIII is at a level of soccer that he could be proud to play----

I only saw 2 games- both the Calvin games--- and I admire their style of play--

Messiah is obviously talented team--- but I was frankly embarassed to show my son the state of DIII soccer, if their play is any measure--- If incesssant flopping and playing to the ref is considered the model for...

Messiah is an unbelievable soccer team. They are deserving of ALL the credit they recieve. But, I also want to congratulate Calvin. They represented themslves and their school with class. Even though Messiah was clearly more talented, the stats of the game show that Calvin hung in there with the best team of the decade. Shots were 9-8 Messiah, shots on goal 4-3 Messiah and corners were even at 3 each.
Also, early in the 2nd half, Calvin had a shot taken off the goal line by a defender...

San Antonio weather

FYI, we have been in San Antonio since yesterday, and it has been unseasoably cool, in the 40s. Friday, the high is going to be reached early, then the temperature will dip dramatically and there is a 38% chance of snow, per this evening's forecast. Dress accordingly!!!!

Williams vs. Messiah

Should be great game. Saw Williams play twice this year in post season. Very strong defensively solid back four (D-1 quality in size and skill) and keeper. Romero up top is talented and very strong on the ball. Any thoughts?

I want to thank both the York staff and the Messiah staff for their hospitality over the past two days. I made it to York both days and they were very accommodating, setting me up with prime real estate and all of the hookups I needed.

Messiah was just as helpful. Patrick and Todd introduced me to the wonder of the cheesy dog, and afterward set Princess Kate, her hubby, and myself up with hamburgers on the hill. They pulled an ethernet cable out of their hat, as I had forgotten...
